1. The LL Cool J episode of “30 Rock.” I’m living every week like it’s shark week.
2. The sound of rain on the roof.
3. Garlic bread.
4. Rockford telling me we were holding hands when he woke up.
5. Marsha cuddling up to me as closely as possible.

March 2

1. Macho nachoes.
2. Justin’s job interview.
3. Poppy saying “Thank you.”
4. The river rushing by.
5. Poppy saying “Fun! Play!” when she saw we were at the park.
6. Poppy eating almost all of her sweet potato by herself.
7. Singing along to “Sara Smiles” while making dinner.
8. Poppy snuggling in the recliner with Rockford.

March 3

1. Poppy’s goodnight kisses through the bars of her crib.
2. Turniphead on “Howl’s Moving Castle.”
3. Getting a remote for the camera.

March 4

1. Rockfordia garlic fries, steak and fruit salad, all prepared by Rockford.
2. Poppy’s first sentence: “Have fun!”
3. Dad finally painting his kitchen.
4. Boston Rob being back on TV.
5. Rockford loving me so very much.

March 5

1. Seeing Justin and Carrie.
2. Playing the Wii; Carrie’s Tae-Bo boxing technique.
3. A good photo session.
4. Lasagna.
5. Poppy falling asleep in Rockford’s lap at dinner.

March 8

1. Going to a My Morning Jacket show with Rockford.
2. The opening act playing “She’s Like the Wind.” The girl next to me asking, “What movie is this from?” Thus making me feel old. But it still made me laugh.
3. The guy in the Joy Division t-shirt and bright blue sports coat.

March 9

1. Turkey pot pie.
2. Mom and Andy loving the Asian noodle recipe.
3. Talking to Andy’s science teacher.
4. Justin got the job!! Which means he’ll be living an hour away from us this summer!!

March 10

1. Barbecue.
2. Giant ice cream sundaes.
3. Watching “Monk.”
