Chomp it up.

This week, it’s a frozen pizza!

Monday: Chicken meatballs.

We’re going to have these on pita bread with tzatziki sauce. I’m really glad I didn’t have to say that to you, because I have no idea how to pronounce it.

Tuesday: Bangers & mash.

Petey loved this so much when we had it on St. Patrick’s Day. It’s also exceptionally simple. Win and win.

Wednesday: Mac & cheese & peas.

The peas are added on an as-needed basis. That is to say, I add them to Pete’s after it’s in his bowl, so that nary a vegetable touches Poppy’s food.

Thursday: Breakfast for dinner.

Either omelets or scrambled eggs with veggie sausages.

Friday: Pizza

I’m beginning to wonder whether we’ll have a week without macaroni & cheese and/or pizza.

This week on our table

Monday: Macaroni and cheese.

One thing that participating in Menu Plan Monday does for me is to make it abundantly clear when I’m relying to heavily on a particular meal. (If, that is, you consider mac ‘n’ cheese a meal.) I’m pretty sure that’s become the case with macaroni and cheese.

Tuesday: Spanish rice & chorizo.

The rice is from a mix, and I have yet to actually find chorizo. I guess that’s why it’s called a “plan” and not “what’s actually going to happen.”

Wednesday: Pork chops.

I very rarely make pork chops, because I don’t like them all that much. I’m not sure how I’ll prepare these. What’s your favorite way pork chop recipe?

Thursday: Sirloin steaks.

These will most likely be on the grill.

Friday: Dinner out!

It’s just that we’re old school like that

Monday: Grilled chicken sausages with macaroni and cheese.

A partially grown-up version of the Li’l Smokies with mac ‘n’ cheese the school cafeteria used to serve. Except that the macaroni is definitely going to be provided by Kraft, so that part’s maybe not so grown-up.

Tuesday: Seafood nachos.

And when I say “seafood,” I mean “krab.” My mom used to make seafood nachos when I was a kid. I’m going to add a few things to the “traditional” chips-krab-cheese setup, though. Specifically: Beans. Somehow, this seems to be turning into Nostalgic Foods with a Twist week.

Wednesday: Butternut squash ravioli.

Thursday: Fajitas.

Whenever I ask for Rockford’s input on the menu, he requests fajitas. And I almost never comply. This week, though, I suppose I will.

Friday: Pizza.
