Apparently she has a designer palate

We stopped at the fancy, organic grocery store on the way home this evening specifically to splurge on a package of butternut squash ravioli. They were giving out samples of their Thanksgiving side dishes, and I asked Pi if she’d like to try something. She said yes. She wanted some mashed potatoes.

Now, mashed potatoes used to be something Poppy loved. And then one day, she didn’t. She didn’t even like them anymore. Just as suddenly tonight, she ate two giant scoops of gouda mashed potatoes at the grocery store.

As if that weren’t thrilling enough, she didn’t balk when I put the ravioli on her plate at dinner. She took a bite of a butternut squash ravioli, and then she proceeded to eat every single ravioli on her plate.

I’m still in shock.

poor piper…you’ve just fallen victim to another “adults will make you eat things you hate by hiding them in things you like!” scam. i should know…it’s how ben got me to start eating spinach…hiding it in ravioli, ironically enough…

RUN! RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN, PI!!
