You've got questions. I've got answers. And TP.

So, why did I get 8 rolls of toilet paper in the mail over the weekend?

A few months ago, I signed up to be a panelist for a company that does consumer surveys. Every week or so, I get a few “offers,” and if I want to fill out the survey I click over. Most of them take just a few minutes, and I earn points for each survey I complete. Those points eventually turn into cash.

Anyway, one of the most recent surveys I filled out was all about toilet paper. Things like, what’s most important to you in your TP? Strength? Softness? And so on. At the end of the survey it asked whether I’d be willing to participate in further study on the issue, and I said yes. A few weeks later? Free toilet paper! In the mail! And once we’ve used it for a few weeks, I’ll fill out another survey. Presumably about this particular TP’s performance.

If you’d like to be a panelist, leave a comment on this post. Be sure to include your name and email address, and I’ll have the survey folks send you the necessary info.

The Omnivore's One Hundred

Here’s an interesting little list I found at How to Eat a Cupcake. It originated at Very Good Taste, who gives the following instructions:

Below is a list of 100 things that I think every good omnivore should have tried at least once in their life. The list includes fine food, strange food, everyday food and even some pretty bad food – but a good omnivore should really try it all. Don’t worry if you haven’t, mind you; neither have I, though I’ll be sure to work on it. Don’t worry if you don’t recognise everything in the hundred, either; Wikipedia has the answers.

Instructions
1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.
4) Optional extra: Post a comment at http://www.verygoodtaste.co.uk/ linking to your results.
