I could easily waste a few hours at SeeqPod. You type in a band or musician, and it gives you a great big list of audio files it finds on the Internet. Naturally, I searched for Wilco and Jeff Tweedy. I wish I could download “A Simple Twist of Fate.” It’s really lovely. “Either Way” is one of Poppy’s favorite songs, and “Don’t Fear the Reaper” is one of Rockford’s. That always makes me laugh. He’s a goon.

Rockford had me look up something about some NBA player earlier this evening, and I ended up at Gilbert Arenas’ blog. The post about his hair had me laughing so hard I was crying.
I’m not kidding. He’s funny.

A month or so ago, our friend Don told me that the Chicago Sun-Times was having a limerick contest in response to the suggestion that Wrigley Field might be getting a new name. I wrote up a couple of entries and went to the site to submit them. And then I discovered that the contest was limited to residents of something like Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois. I was going to chuck my limericks, but Don wanted to send them to a friend of his in Illinois to submit them. His friend’s name? Patricia Garcia! Who submitted this limerick! Which I wrote! Convoluted, eh? But I was pretty excited. 🙂
