Poppy is doing a little “math lesson” with a workbook and a set of tangrams that Aunt Chloe gave her.
“What’s this?” she asks, holding up a small green piece.
“That’s called a parallelogram,” I tell her.
“No,” she says, “that’s a paralleloBabyPete.”

My allergies flared up this weekend, leaving me congested, coughing and with very little voice today. What a way to start the week!
I do have a menu plan for the week, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we ended up having smoothies made with my Mother’s Day present every day instead.
Monday: Grilled cheese & tomato soup
Tuesday: Breakfast for dinner
Wednesday: Tacos
Thursday: Baked potatoes
Friday: Pizza
The children didn’t do a synchronized napping routine yesterday. Pete slept from about 11:30 until 2, and Poppy slept from 3 ’til 5. While Pi was asleep, Pete and I took advantage of the nice afternoon light.
Pete can sit up unassisted for about 30 seconds, and for the very first time, he pushed himself into a position that looks suspiciously like a pre-crawl.
