Harrumph.

My loyal ol’ laptop has been ailing for a few months now. It randomly shuts down, which is absolutely maddening. So I took it over to the local computer-fixin’ store to find out what was wrong and whether it could be fixed. The answer: It’s the power-management thingamajig in the logic board. And that’ll cost about $600 to replace.

The upshot of this is that I’m going to have relatively sporadic access to the Internet for the foreseeable future, because we’re not going to have it fixed.

🙁

This is just to say

Rockford’s parents volunteered to watch the kids this week so I could join Rockford on a business trip. While it’s been beyond lovely to do absolutely nothing these last few days, I miss the babies something awful. I think that’s why it’s been so quiet here lately.

I do, however, need to tell you something. And that something is as follows:

p.s. I read in my hotel-issued USA Today this morning that Bret Michaels is upset that no one from the Tonys has checked in to see how he’s doing after his mishap at the awards show. Now, I haven’t yet asked the Internet what the mishap was, exactly, so I can’t side with either party. But I would like to know this: Why was Bret Michaels at the Tonys? Hmm? “Rock of Love: The Musical (featuring CC DeVille)”? If that’s the case — Hello Awesomeness, I’m heading to Broadway.

p.p.s. Oh, He got squashed. It looks like that hurt. They definitely should’ve sent him flowers.
