Going to Atlanta? Here’s a peach of a giveaway.

ATL CityPASSRemember when we went to Atlanta and had an awesome time? Shortly after I wrote about the trip, a very lovely lady named Deborah emailed me. Deborah works at CityPASS, which I’d mentioned in the post as something I’d like to try the next time we were in Atlanta. And Deborah? She offered Rockford and I a pair of CityPASSes to try out.

So naturally I love Deborah. But not just because she’s made it possible for us to visit a bunch of terrific Atlanta sites, but because she wants you to visit them, too! So she also sent me a pair of Atlanta CityPASSes to give away! Three cheers for Deborah! (And also for exclamation points! Because they are handy!)

The Atlanta CityPASS will get you into the Georgia Aquarium; the World of Coca Cola; the Inside CNN Studio Tour; the High Museum of Art or Fernbank Museum of Natural History; and Zoo Atlanta or the Atlanta History Center. The passes are good through Feb. 28, 2013, and they all have to be used within 9 days of their first use. In other words, you can’t go to the zoo with your pass and then go to the aquarium with it three weeks later.

In other words, this would be a pretty cool thing to win. Especially if you live in or near Atlanta.

There are three ways to enter, and you can use each once. Here they are:

  • Leave a comment here, telling me which of the Atlanta CityPASS sites you’d be most excited to visit. (OK, you don’t have to tell me that. It’s fine if you’d rather say something else.)
  • Tweet about the giveaway, and leave a comment here linking to your tweet. You can say whatever you’d like as long as it links to this post. Here’s an easy cut-and-paste tweet if you’re at a loss for words: “I want to win an #Atlanta @CityPASS from ButterscotchSundae.com! Enter to win at http://bit.ly/ATLcitypass”
  • Blog about the giveaway, and leave a comment with a link to your post.
  • (This contest ended at noon EST on Tuesday, March 29, 2011.)

    1. Ooh, I love the Fernbank Museum and the Aquarium. I’ve never been to the Atlanta Zoo before. Any of those places would be great. How long is the City Pass good for? Does it expire? It sounds like you got a pretty great deal.

    2. Yay! I love going to Atlanta! I’ve never been to the CNN Center and my husband and I have wanted to go on the tour. Thank you for the giveaway!

    3. The husband and I go to Atlanta once a year for a long Labor Day weekend at Dragon*Con and I have always wanted to take a couple off days before the festivities and do the museum and aquarium in full costuming gear. Underwater ewok pictures = awesome!

There is a good chance I would instead set up some trip time with mom though. We have gone to the aquarium once while down for a Cirque Du Soleil show (everyone should go see at least once by the way) but we haven’t had a chance to do the museum and other attractions together. Art is such an important extra bond we share that it seems fitting.

    4. Georgia Aquarium; the High Museum of Art; Fernbank Museum of Natural History; and Zoo Atlanta…I actually live in GA about an hour from Atlanta but haven’t been able to take my daughter due to cost.

    5. I would like to take my daughter to the Georgia Aquarium and the Zoo for her 9th birthday. I have recently been diagnosed with a rare medical condition and have not been able to work much so this would be a great opportunity for me. I also have relatives in Atlanta that I would love to visit! I would love to have those citypasses 🙂

    6. A few years ago I took my children to Atlanta and we purchased the CityPass Booklet because it was an amazing value. (If you add all of the attractions separately and compare it to CityPass, the savings are tremendous, especially for a family of four). I am a single mom of 3 beautiful girls and it was a real treat to be able to see so many attractions in Atlanta at such a great value. Now I have my handsome nephew, Micheal and my beautiful niece Emily, and I’d love to take them to do the same. Our 2 absolute favorites, were the Aquarium and 3-D movie at the Coca-Cola factory. Another great advantage of purchasing CityPass is that you can prepay online and have your tickets sent to you well before your vacation. You have the option of purchasing them at different times and receiving the same value. Sometimes it’s more affordable for families to purchase one per month. Also, one more advantage is if you already have your tickets in hand you can skip the long lines. Lastly, you have all of your tickets in hand, making it easy to plan your attractions over the duration of your trip or in one day if your time is limited. All in all, CityPass is one of the greatest values I’ve come across in a long time…AND Atlanta is not the only city that offers CityPass, if you visit their website, there are CityPass offers for several other cities! Check them out at Citypass.com!

    7. I would love to win these passes. A very good friend of mine passed away in January and I’ve been helping her husband out with the children. I would love to take them to the aquarium during spring break. We all could use a little getaway! Hope you all have a blessed day! :0)

    8. I would love most to visit CNN. My daughter is currently studying television production in college and it would be quite a treat for her to see such an amazing studio in action.

    9. I will love to win the City passes to Atlanta, Ga, I was planning to take my daughter to Atlanta Zoo and other attractions. I would love to take my neice and nephew also and we all know thats alot of money. Not to mention all the other cool things they might see and you know i got to get it for them cause I love them all. My daughter’s birthday is April 6 and she will be two years old, i know thats a little young but she love so many things, she’s like one of those little girls that is not hard to please so it will be and honor if i could win the passes so that I can take my daughter, neice, and nephew to see all the attractions offered.

    10. I’d love to see the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coke! I’m a Diet Coke fiend!

    11. I would love to visit all of them but the Atlanta zoo sounds like a blast!

    12. Atlanta is a fabulous city to visit! And we LOVE CityPasses. My children are in Chicago at this very moment, armed with their Chicago CityPasses. We always use CityPasses when we are in New York. When ever we plan a trip, the first thing we do is check on CityPasses. Don’t leave home without them!

    13. I love aquarium. Whenever I go on vacation I always check to see if there town/city/local area has an aquarium. It’s amazing what people will call an aquarium and what they put in them. One had a large cat, I think it was a tiger

    14. I would love to win city passes to Atlanta because that’s a place we can visit before our next little boy arrives! We would use it for a baby moon!

    15. I’d go to all the places, but especially World of Coca Cola cause I haven’t been there yet…would love this for spring break!

    16. OMG just what Im looking for !! Will be there April 1 thru 5th and this would be great I would love to visit Cnn Center and My husband who thanks to the military is a History freak would just love it!!

    17. I’ve tweeted about it through TheTeflonDon. Also, I’d like to visit the Atlanta History Center. As Tony Horwitz wrote: Atlantans have destroyed more of their own city than Sherman.

    18. I live in Atlanta, and would love this. I have been to only three of those places. Would love to take my family!

    19. Squeaking in here..I visited the CNN Ctr several years ago and want to go back. I really really want to check out the High Museum; I’ve heard about it all my life and never been!
