  • had a very nice Christmas.
  • has been looking for some vintage state plates. And then she received some for Christmas and was most pleased. Well played, in-laws!
  • has listened to her brother-in-law sing “Rio” roughly 8 times over the last two days. She has realized that she only likes the chorus of that song.

    1. My grandmother left a ton of state plates in the kitchen when she moved out of her house. My parents subsequently moved in, and I bet my mom would LOVE to get rid of those plates…

    2. I’ve always thought that the opening lines of “Rio” were among the finest e’er penned. I mean, seriously, how good is:

      Moving on the floor now babe you’re a bird of paradise.
      Cherry ice cream smile I suppose it’s very nice …
